Evelyn W. Assenheimer, 88, of Baldwinsville passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at her home. She was born in Duck Hill, MS, and worked at the airbase in Geenville, MS, where she met her husband, Edwin and married on 12/4/1944. She has lived in the Baldwinsville area for over 60 years and retired from Dey Brothers in Baldwinsville after 25 years. Evelyn is pre-deceased by her husband Edwin H., Jr. in 1999 and her daughter June M. Assenheimer in 2004.

Survivors: two sons, William E. of Baldwinsville and Ed "Butch" of Rochester; three daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Claycomb (Ken) Avery of Phoenix, NY, Jo Assenheimer of Belton, TX and Nanci (Charlie) Burgoon of Auburn; 7 grandchildren, Carol Lynn Turo, Tina Kluesner, Julie Hawkins, Nicole Jackson, Hailee Claycomb, Ryan Assenheimer and Heather Anderson; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

11:15am Saturday Memorial Service with reception for family and friends to follow at the Word of Life Assembly of God, 12 East Onieda St., Baldwinsville. The family will be receiving friends at 10:00am prior to the service. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville has charge of arrangements.
