IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eugenia C.
Penkala
June 24, 1916 – April 10, 2012
Eugenia C. Penkala, 95, of Baldwinsville, wife of the late Edward Penkala, passed away Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012, with her family at her side. Jenny, the daughter of the late Fedor and Ksenia Kopot Czech of Lviv, Ukraine, was born and raised in Fulton, NY and resided in Baldwinsville for the past 30 years. She had been a resident of McHarrie Point and Syracuse Home Association for the past three months.
Jenny was employed by The Nestle Company for 35 years, beginning in the factory and advancing to secretary to the Plant Superintendent. She never stopped learning and was a member of Arrowhead Garden Club, a Brownie Leader, and active in the PTA of Oak Street School, her primary-school alma mater. Jenny loved to golf, garden and bake, especially her holiday sticky buns, which were a great favorite of her grandchildren. She loved a great conversation and her laugh was contagious. She was just a wonderful person.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Charles) Genung and three grandchildren, Christopher (Gayl) Genung, Matthew (Cristina) Genung, and Ellen Genung. Great-grandchildren, Austin Larson, Giulia, Sophia, Andrew, and Elizabeth Genung, several nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and cousins. Jenny was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and doted on her great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and lived life to the fullest. She will be missed by all.
Friends may call at Falardeau Funeral Home Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 11 AM with a prayer service following at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jenny's memory may be made to Guardian Angel Society.
