Elna E. Davis (nee Hoff), Age 73, a resident of Naperville, IL for 27 years, formerly of Williamsville, NY, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Community Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Naperville after a short illness.

She was born June 24, 1938 in Foley, AL. Loving wife of Lyle E. Davis, formerly of Baldwinsville, NY, whom she married December 5, 1959, beloved mother of Mary Patricia "Pati" Davis Pineda of Veracruz, Mexico and John William Davis of London, England, adored grandmother of José Ramón, Ana Michelle and Laura Elizabeth, devoted daughter of Gustav and Evelyn Hoff, dear sister of the late Terrence Hoff, fond aunt of Lisa Hoff Shipley. Elna grew up in Mobile, AL and Jackson, MS and completed nursing school at the Mobile Infirmary School of Nursing. A registered nurse, she served for a year as school nurse at Madison Junior High School in Naperville and was employed for many years at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Elna was a member of River Glen Presbyterian Church, Naperville, was an avid knitter and enjoyed riding her bicycle.

Memorial Visitation Wednesday, November 16, 10:00-11:00 A.M. at River Glen Presbyterian Church, 1140 Raymond Dr., Naperville. Memorial Services will follow Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. in the church with Rev. David Boumgarden officiating.
