Edward J. Hardter, Sr., 73, of Baldwinsville died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Veterans Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse and lived in the area most of his life. He was employed for 25 years with Allied Chemical Company and for 6 years with Lyndon Chlorine Corp. Edward served in the US Army from 1953-55. He was pre-deceased by his father Edward Hardter and a son Paul Hardter.

Survivors: his mother, Leta May Hardter of Syracuse; two daughters, Debbie (Jeffrey) Hollington and Laurie (Richard) Long both of Baldwinsville; two sons, Edward J. Hardter, Jr. and Stan (Krista) Hardter both of Baldwinsville; a sister Leta (James) Carroll of Syracuse; 9 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00am Friday, February 28, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Thursday, February 27, 2009 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
