Edward Gibbin, 83, passed away at Crouse Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Gladys Schaefer Gibbin and is a native of Lancaster, NY. Ed graduated in 1957 from the University of Buffalo's Dental School with a DDS. He moved to the Syracuse area in 1960 and was a Dentist for the NYS Developmental Center for over 30 years. He is a long-time member of the Men's Garden Club of Syracuse.


Ed is survived by his wife, Yvonne Wirt Gibbin; children Robert Gibbin of Brighton, NY and Laura (Scott) Voorhees of Trumansburg; and grandchildren Victoria Yvonne and Austin Edward Voorhees.


Calling hours are Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 4-7 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. Services are private. Burial is in Riverview Cemetery.
