Edward J. Fitzgerald, 78, of Thompson Road, Cicero, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he grew up in Cortland and lived most of his life in the Syracuse area. He retired in 1988 after 37 years as a pattern maker at Crouse-Hinds. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 191, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. No calling hours. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements.
