Earnest C. Brayton, Jr, 85, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Syracuse Veteran's Medical Center. He was born in Harrisville, NY the son of the late Earnest, Sr. and Mary Stacey Brayton. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and worked for the Syracuse VA Hospital for over 30 years. Ernie loved fishing, puzzles and keeping track of the weather. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice Marsh, his second wife Marijo Sanford and his son Roger Brayton.

Survived by his children: Kristina (David) Meluni, Kim ( John) Russ and Peter Brayton; 5 grandchildren, Briana, Allison and Jeff Russ and Nicholas Meluni and Landyn Shaw; 3 sisters, Shirley Lennon, Leatrice Osborne and Lenora Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 4-6 pm Monday, June 12, 2017, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. Services will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery
