E. Patricia Forderkonz, 87, passed away Sunday after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, MA to Patrick and Bridget Henry and moved to Baldwinsville in the late 50's. Pat was an elementary teacher for the Baldwinsville Central School District for 42 years. She was a continuous learner and enjoyed reading. Pat loved teaching children, feeling like they were sponges waiting to learn and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind and generous person, often giving her own things away and assisting others when they were in need. Pat was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville and also a member of the choir.
Pat is predeceased by her husbands, John Carney and Richard Forderkonz.
Pat is survived by her children, Stephen (Kathleen) Carney, Paul (Caroline) Carney, Patrick (Susan) Carney, Cathleen (Bill) Perkins, and Bridget (John Bellows) Forderkonz; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church Choir, 47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
