IN LOVING MEMORY OF
E. Jeane
Duffy
March 8, 1920 – March 8, 2015
Sunday morning, March 8, 2015, on her 95th birthday, Erma Jeane Duffy (Belcher) passed peacefully at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville, surrounded by her loving family. Jeane, the daughter of Charles and Alta Belcher, was a communicant and former Lay Leader of the Warners United Methodist Church. Jeane was also a member of Waneta Rebekah Lodge. Jeane loved her volunteer work in the community. She proudly volunteered many years at WCNY-TV, was a former president of the Baldwinsville Canton Woods Senior Center, was a former Town of Van Buren Historian, and especially enjoyed her decades volunteering her time at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville.
Above all, though, Jeane was centered on her family. The love and caring of her family was her ultimate joy and spending time with her large family gave her the most enjoyment. Jeane was predeceased by husband of forty eight years, Charles, in 1987. Jeane raised five children, her daughter Jean Smith (Alan) and four sons Richard (Sally), John (Michele), Robert, and James (Joan). fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She packed a lot of life into 95 years.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 4-7pm in Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street. A memorial service and burial will be held in the spring.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Syracuse Home (McHarrie Life Foundation) 7740 Meigs Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or Hospice Foundation of Central New York, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088-6148.
