Obituary

E. Winston "Win" Baker, 91, of Baldwinsville died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Veterans Medical Center, Syracuse. He was born in Syracuse and has lived in the Baldwinsville area most of his life. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He started the Baker Insurance Agency in 1939 and retired in 1984. He was one of the founding members of the American Legion Vernice Suttle Post 113 and a member of the Baldwinsville VFW Post 153. He was a past president of the Baldwinsville Board of Education, a founding member of the Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, and awarded Man of the Year in 1969. He was a member of the Baldwinsville Lions Club and a volunteer for the Baldwinsville Meals on Wheels. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen G. Baker who passed away in 2002.

Survivors: two sons, John C. and Richard W., both of Baldwinsville; one sister, Joyce Hillick of Fulton; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services: 10:00am Monday, November 1, 2004 at the First United Presbyterian Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2-5pm Sunday, October 31. 2004 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
