Douglas A. McConnell, 80, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2022.  Doug was born on April 22, 1942, in Syracuse, NY, to Ethel (Brown) and James McConnell.  A veteran of the Army, Doug was a lifelong resident of upstate NY.  His siblings were James, Henry, Paul, Neil, Mary, Billy, and Kathie.

Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife Laraine (Weale) and survived by his children Christine, Gregg, Michael, Douglas Patrick, and Lynne (Corp). He found his greatest joy living with his grandchildren Madeline and Declan, and doting on his other grandchildren Audrey, Liam, Jude, Claire, Sarah, Sean, Nicolas, and Stella, as well as his great grandchildren.

Doug was a voracious reader and well known for his sharp wit, strong opinions, and boisterous and contagious laughter.  He enjoyed telling jokes and stories during his daily phone calls with his son Gregg and could often be found heading down the Thruway to the casino with his daughter Christine.  Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
