Donna J. McCaw, 77, left us to join those who have passed before her on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She spent the final days of her earthly life surrounded by loved ones. Donna was born to Edward and Jane Dunn on February 20, 1948, in Syracuse, NY. She and her late husband, Dave had been residents of Baldwinsville, NY for the past 50 years.

Donna dedicated many years of her life as a in-home child care provider, allowing her to be home and care for her own children. Once her own children were school age, Donna went to work for Wegmans where she was a faithful and dedicated employee in the prepared foods department, retiring after 25 years of service.

After retirement, Donna relished in her most rewarding role as Nana.  When Donna entered heaven, she was reunited with her parents, Edward and Jane Dunn, her beloved husband, Dave McCaw, and her sister-in-law, Nora Dunn who passed before her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of cherished family members including a daughter, Kara Cross (Dan); a son, David McCaw (Lindsey); two grandchildren, Carter & Allison; a twin sister, Patricia Kalfass (Al); a sister Mary Moore; two brothers, Edward Dunn (Susan); and Dennis Dunn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Donna knew the way to everyone's hearts… through their stomachs!  She will be remembered for the way in which her cooking welcomed everyone into her home and warmed their hearts. She enjoyed cherished time with family, neighbors, and close friends and found her greatest joy in being "Nana" to her two grandchildren, Carter and Allison.

Calling Hours will be held from 1 – 3 PM Sunday, March 2, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
