Donald John Uhl was born, July 28, 1928, to John and Catherine Uhl, in Syracuse, NY.

After high school, Donald began work at Porter Cable. In 1948, Donald joined the US Navy,

when he was 20 years old. He fought in the Korean War. He was in the Navy from 1948 to

1952. After the military, Donald he went back to work at Rockwell/Porter Cable, as a

machinist. After Porter Cable/ Rockwell closed, Donald worked for Microwave Filter, till he

retired in 1993. After his retirement, he helped his son, Peter and daughter-in-law, Darcie with

construction projects until he was 77 years old! Quite a work ethic!



Donald married Mary Thom, Sept. 29, 1956, who was the love of his life. They were married

for 65 years! God blessed them with 3 children: Martha, Peter, and Steve!

Donald and Mary were faithful member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Baldwinsville, NY.

Donald was an usher there for 20 yrs.

In Donald's spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing, especially with his Uncle

Buddy. One of his favorite things to do, was spending time with his family, whether, children

or grandchildren and his faithful companion the family dog, Mufasa!



Donald went to his eternal rest, November 5,2021
