Donald D. Michaels, Sr., 77, of Syracuse passed away in Stuart, Florida on Friday, February15. He was born in Syracuse on February 28, 1930 to Mary and Frank Michaels and served in the US Navy during the Korean War era. He retired from Western Electric in the early 1980's. He was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, Baldwinsville, a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 5082, a member of the Moose Lodge #625, the Elks Lodge #2348, the American Legion Post #0787, and the VFW Post #153. Don was predeceased by his wife Marjorie.

He is survived by his three children, Donald D. Michaels, Jr. of Tennessee, Dennis R. Michaels of California and Tammy Michaels Boyle of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Philip, Jacob, Jared and Rory Michaels and Patrick and Matthew Boyle; his sisters, Mary Jasiel, Elizabeth Jarema, and Theresa Kalenak; his brothers, John Michaels, David Michaels and Theodore Michaels and many nieces and nephews.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00am Monday,March 17th at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church Baldwinsville. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 2-5pm Sunday, March 16th at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
