Donald Richard Gentilcore Sr., age 85, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. Born on January 3, 1940, he dedicated much of his life to his family and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

He was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean (Welton). He leaves behind his son Donald (Teri) Gentilcore, daughter Amy (Matt) Zingaro, and grandchildren Ryan, Andrew, Ella Gentilcore, and Evan Zingaro. Don is also survived by his sister Gail (Dave) Capeling, brother Tom (Judi) Gentilcore, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Dorothy Gentilcore.

Don had a 30 year career as a Field Engineer with IBM. He was an avid history buff and a passionate reader. Don and Jean loved to travel, having visited over 30 countries, with memorable trips to Europe and Asia. He enjoyed the time spent with his children and grandchildren, enthusiastically attending their sporting events, plays, and concerts to support their endeavors and celebrate their accomplishments.

A public visitation will be held on May 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM at Falardeau Funeral Home, followed immediately by a funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum. His family will forever remember him for his sense of humor and adventurous spirit.
