Donald B. Dano, 65, of Baldwinsville died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Grindstone Island. He was born and raised on Grindstone Island and moved to Syracuse in 1965. Don graduated from Clayton High School. He worked as a tool and die maker and crafted canoes and muzzle loaders.

Don made many friends in his journey through life. He was active in Cub Scouts, NYS Muzzle Loading Association, Wooden Canoe Heritage Association, Elbridge Rod & Gun Club, and volunteered his time for the Baldwinsville Public Library. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
Don was very giving of his time and self. His story-telling brought joy to many and he will be missed by all.

He is predeceased by his parents, Olive and Rawdon Dano, and his brothers, Gordon and Earl.
When he moved to Syracuse in 1965, he married Barbara Havens. They had three children; Paul (Dolores) Dano, Kelly (Michael) Colabello and Deanne Dano. He married his current wife, Pamela A. Willoughby, in 1978 who brought her daughter, Robin (John) Finn, to the family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather of eight grandchildren.

Calling hours are Saturday, October 27, 2007, 1:00pm – 5:00pm with the service at 3:00pm within the calling hours at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
