Donald J. Cahill, 76, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Francis House. He was born in Glens Falls and moved to Baldwinsville in 1961. Don was a NY State Trooper stationed in Massena. He attended Potsdam College and received his Masters Degree at SUNY Oswego. He served in the US Navy from 1953-55. Don taught math for a few years and then was a guidance counselor in the Baldwinsville School District, retiring in 1991 after many years of service. He served as a village trustee from 1970-72. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #5082 and his many interests included: tutoring, boating, golf, and watching college and pro sports. His Irish wit was evident even when he entered Francis House.

Don was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Argersinger Cahill.

Survivors: his daughter, Katie (Carl) Kruger; son Donny F.G. (Kathy Dittman) Cahill; step-children, Susan (Carl) Bryant, Janet (Andy) King, Phil (Michelle) Argersinger; 8 grandchildren; brother, Ned (Ann) Cahill; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00am Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
