David J. Wight, Sr., 67, of Phoenix, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at his home. He was born in Syracuse, has lived in Phoenix for five years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family would like to thank Oswego County Hospice for their gentle care of David during his final days. He is pre-deceased by two sons, Jeffrey in 1983 and Anthony in 2006.

Survivors: his wife of 36 years, Josephine R.; three daughters, Sandra Brutcher of Phoenix, Christine Simmons of Constantia and Carol Weiss of Manlius; five sons, Joseph Shepard of Las Vegas, Richard Wight of Phoenix, James Wight of Constantia, David Wight, Jr. of Central Square and Robert Wight of Camillus; his sister, Betty Mohat of Liverpool; and several grand-children, great grand-children and nieces and nephews.

Services: 1:00pm Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial, West Monroe Cemetery. Calling hours are 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home, prior to the service.
