Obituary

David C. Stanton, 82, of Baldwinsville, New York, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Syracuse, New York.

David was born on April 18, 1944, in Syracuse, New York. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann, on May 16, 1964, at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Liverpool, New York. Together they shared more than 62 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and service.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. Following his military service, he devoted his professional career to First Trust and Deposit Company, where he began working in 1962 and eventually retired as Senior Vice President of Trusts.

Throughout his life, David was deeply committed to his community and his faith. He served as Cubmaster of Pack 248 in Baldwinsville, helping shape the lives of countless young Scouts. He was also a dedicated Eucharistic Minister at St. Augustine's Church in Baldwinsville, where he faithfully served his parish for many years.

Above all, David cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who took great pride in the accomplishments and happiness of those he loved.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Stanton; his sons, David Stanton and Michael (Georgina) Stanton; his grandchildren, Victoria (Jacob) Imes, Nicholas (Hannah) Stanton, Joshua (Peyton) Stanton, Cathryn Stanton, Gregory Wojtalewski, Kimberly Stanton, Kelly Stanton and Nathaniel Stanton; and his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Autumn, Angelina, Andrew, Anna, Gideon, Joseph, Charlie and Eden.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Stanton; his sister, Sally Lang; and his mother, Helen Stanton.

A private family service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Baldwinsville, with burial to follow.

David will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering faith, dedicated service, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in the family he so dearly loved.
