David L. Appleman, 81, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday. Born in Sodus, he resided in Victory for most of his life and moved to Conifer Village in Baldwinsville, where he enjoyed spending time with his sister and friends especially those at Canton Woods Senior Center.

He loved his pets, and cars, including his Chevy station wagon and green Ford.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Eleanor Appleman; sister, Judeth Laurange; and brother, Richard "Dickie" Appleman.

David is survived by his twin brother, Douglas (Sandra) Appleman of Meridian and Ronald (Cathie) Appleman of Saint Cloud, Fl.; seven nieces and nephews, including his loving niece, Mary Ann Carney, who was David's guardian for several years; several great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Victory Cemetery, Victory.

David's family would like to sincerely thank the staff on the 8th Floor at Loretto for the wonderful care, compassion, and support they have provided to David throughout the past 14 years.
