Daniel J. Garcia, 79, of Baldwinsville passed away on April 9 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse NY, after complications from an injury. Dan was born on August 8 1940, he was originally from West Islip, Long Island. He was proud to be part of the US Army and the US Navy, as well as a proud member of the USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 2-1. Dan enjoyed being on his boat and teaching all his grandchildren how to operate a boat properly.
On May 22, 1983, he married Pat (Metznik). They enjoyed raising their many dogs and traveling to their favorite places. Gone to soon, he lived a very happy life filled with laughter and love.
Surviving along with his wife are his children, Daniel (Heather) of Saratoga Springs, and Christina Roddy (Michael Hawkins) of Norfolk, NY. 5 Grandchildren, Delaney Roddy, Sierra Garcia, KayeLeigh Roddy, Palina Garcia, Daniel J Garcia, and 1 Great-Grandson Ezra Roddy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
