Corey A. Gregory, 30, passed away Monday, May 18 in Albany. He was born in Syracuse and lived in the area most of his life before moving to Albany. Corey trained in karate and obtained his 3rd Degree Black Belt. He competed in many local competitions in Syracuse and Albany. He also loved to coach gymnastics and taught in Syracuse at CNY Gymnastics and at other gyms in the Albany area. Corey was also an animal lover, especially of dogs, and was known to take in strays.
Corey is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Diane Gregory, and maternal grandfather, Robert "Cobby" Rogers.
Corey is survived by his mother, Tammi (Ross) Corrente, father, Gary (Michelle) Gregory; maternal grandmother, Edith Rogers; brother, Gary (Beth) Gregory; step-siblings, Megan (Andrew) Haberern, AJ (Megan) Quinn, and John Corrente; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be 1 PM Saturday, August 28 at Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego St, Baldwinsville.
