IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Connie R.
Grutka
June 6, 1946 – May 28, 2004
Our beloved wife and momma, Connie Rose went to heaven May 28, 2004. Our sweetheart died at home comforted by her husband of 37 years, Rick and two of her sons Jon and Andrew.
Connie leaves behind six children and two grandchildren. Marta anne H. Grutka of Los Angeles, Michael D. of Saratoga Springs Marcia lynn Grutka Hoffheins of Leesburg, VA, Marc Matthew of Evansville, IN, Jonathan J. at home and baby Andrew J. at home. Two grandchildren, Melissa Marie and Isabella Rose Hoffheins, Leesburg, VA.
Connie was a professional registered nurse and was the first R.U.G.S. assessor in NYS. She spent over 10 years working at St. Jospeh's Hospital in their medical intensive care unit. Connie was a dual graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and LeMoyne College, graduating in 1967. Connie was hurt at work in 2002 while working in Nursing management at Loretto Health Systems in Syracuse. Connie seemed to be recovering nicely when suddenly Friday morning she was struck with a seizure and died within moments. Connie loved baseball and immensely enjoyed watching 3 of her children play hard at the game. Connie loved reading, music, John Denver and Peter, Paul and Mary, walking , biking and cooking, but most of all she loved giving happiness and being a mom. Before the Section III baseball championship Friday night at P&C Stadium, she was honored with a silent tribute and then her youngest child Andrew played out the game to honor his mom.
The Grutka's invite all to attend the calling hours 4-7pm Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St. Baldwinsville.
