Clara M. Trew, 89, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Sunday, February 8, at Upstate University Hospital. She was a dedicated sister, wife, mother and grandmother, with an early career as an executive secretary for 15 years, both in Golden, CO and with Carrier Corp. in Syracuse.

Clara, also known as "Jeannie" to much of her family, enjoyed baking and gardening, was an avid SU Basketball fan, and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also very proud of being an active member of the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church for over 60 years.

Clara was predeceased by her husband, Wayne, in 2013. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Trew (Tom Palenscar) of Sammamish, WA, Gail Trew Young (Walter) of Wayne, PA and Doug Trew (Patti) of Baldwinsville; her siblings, Helen Butler of Solvay, Jim Meloling of Binghamton, Judy Barvian of Skaneateles, and John Meloling (Louise) of Baldwinsville; five grandchildren, Claire, Liam and Pierce Young, and Danica and Sage Trew; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church chapel, 17 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m.
