Clara Mae Stanton, 81, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday. She was born on October 24, 1935 in Groton, NY the daughter of the late Clark and Ada Taylor. Clara had retired from NYTEL after 39 years. She loved to travel and watch sports, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Clara was a real classy lady, always looking her best. She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Stanton, in 1999.
Survived by her children: James (Karen) Stanton, Susan (Gary) Borrowman, Michael (Carol) Stanton and Jill (Timothy) Sweeney; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
