IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher
Reeves
November 24, 1947 – January 4, 2016
Christopher Reeves, resident of Warren,MI, died January 4, 2016 in his home. He was 68 years of age.
Christopher was born in Syracuse, New York on November 24, 1947, one of nine loving children of Cecil and Dot Reeves. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Theresa May King, on November 24, 1969. Chris served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam War and made a career with the Navy, retiring in 1987. Shortly after his retirement, he became the facility director of St. Mary's Hospital of Livonia.
Christopher was a natural teacher which means he also had great patience and consistence. Chris never met a stranger, and would take the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He had strong work ethics and was always fair and honest with everyone. He was also a "Jack of all trades" and loved finding anything that needed to be fixed. Chris enjoyed NASCAR and his Sunday westerns. He was also an avid reader.
Above all, Chris was a family man who loved and cared for his family deeply. He loved his wife and would do anything for her. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his love of life. The compassion and friendship he extended to others throughout his life was a blessing to all. He will be missed and will always remain in our hearts forever.
Chris is the dearest husband of 46 years to Theresa; cherished father of Stacey (James) Hemelberg, Dana (Danielle) and Kori Reeves; loving grandfather of Micaelynn Potts, Addison and Casey Reeves; beloved son of Cecil and the late Dot; and dear brother of Carol (Dave) Norris, Timothy (Myra), Diane, Bruce (JoAnn), Mark, Andrew, Joan and Brian Reeves.
A memorial gathering will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, MI, Friday, January 8th, from 6pm until the time of funeral at 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be addressed to St. Jude's or Wounded Warrior Project.
A Memorial service will be announced and held in Baldwinsville, NY in the Spring.
