Chester J. Korczakowski, 92, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Syracuse Home Assoc. He was born in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville most of his life. He was an Army Veteran of WWII where he was a cook for the calvary in Panama and later fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from Carrier after 38 years and was a past member of the American Legion Post 113. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater and also enjoyed his many visits to the Canton Woods Senior Center in Baldwinsville. Chester was pre-deceased by his wife, Helen A. Korczakowski in 1983.

Survivors: daughter, Patricia Sieber of Liverpool; son, Bernard (Pauline) Korczakowski of Baldwinsville; brother Edward Korczakowski of Martville; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 8:30am Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 9:00am at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
