Cheryl "Cherie" Carlton Slocum, 68, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 30, 2024, with her family by her side.

Cherie is predeceased by her parents Poochie & Jack Hannafon.

Cherie is survived by her loving husband, James Slocum. She was an amazing mother to her two children, Shannon Krause and William "David" (Mackenze) Carlton III, and two stepdaughters, Kira Slocum and Kelly (Chris) Hill. She was a devoted grandma and "mamma" to her grandchildren; Braeden and Corbin Jordan; Gabriel, Gwenyth, and Mack Carlton; and Graham and Ian Hill. Cherie is survived by her beloved sisters; Debra Main, Pamela Fabian, Melinda Hannafon, and Teresa (Marty) Hard. Cherie has many cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

In remembrance, a viewing will be Wednesday, September 4, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
