Charlotte Darleene "Dar" Wicks' life was fulfilled on September 28, 2018 when she joined Harold, her husband of 49 years and, her savior Jesus Christ in paradise. Darleene Beck was born on October 2, 1937 to William and Charlotte Beck in Johnstown, PA. She married Harold Rutland Wicks in Johnstown, PA on July 23, 1955. After his tour in the navy, they settled in Baldwinsville, New York in 1959. Hal and Dar were very involved in the early start of Community Wesleyan Church in Baldwinsville, New York, where they devoted much of their time. Dar sang in the choir, participated on many committees, started the Church Family Ministry program and was active on the prayer chain. Her servant's attitude was displayed by her ability to make everyone feel welcome and her infectious smile. For many years Hal and Dar spent the month of July in Saranac Lake, NY. They would spent time with friends and with their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed having family around, preparing large meals for the group, and everyone enjoying "Papa's boat" at "Papa's lake." Dar was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. Wicks, her son-in-law Paul Edward Martens and granddaughter Kimberly Sarah Rauscher. She is survived by her children: Charleene D. Martens of Harford, PA; Cheryl (Brent) Rauscher of Keller, TX; William (Shannon) Wicks; Scott (Ticia) Wicks both of Baldwinsville, NY; Kristin Perez of Keller, TX; and Neil (Tracy) Wicks of Baldwinsville, NY. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be at Falardeau Funeral Home on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 4-7 pm. Celebration of Life will be held at Community Wesleyan Church in Baldwinsville, New York on her 81st birthday, October 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
