Charles Bliss, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully on Friday. He was born in Syracuse to Charles and Maryclair (Nichols) Bliss. Chuck was a 1966 graduate of C.W. Baker High School and attended college in CA. He worked as an international data technician at JGB for several years and then devoted himself to care for his mother until her passing in 1999. Chuck loved music, especially classic rock, and played the trumpet in the Baldwinsville Community Band for many years. His passions were gardening and gourmet cooking. There was nothing he could not grow and often had "tomato growing" competitions with his family. Chuck also enjoyed going to camp on Lancaster Island and spending time with his family playing cards and dice and beating his older brothers. While at camp, he also loved water skiing and chasing tour boats.

Chuck is predeceased by his parents, brother, Michael Bliss, and his two dogs, whom he loved dearly, Christie and Trixie.

Chuck is survived by his brothers Richard (Judi) and David (Yadira) Bliss; sister-in-law Ruth Bliss; nieces Amy Bliss, Laura Bliss, Kimberly (Ken) Coon; and nephews Alex (Emma), Joshua, Matthew, and Israel (Desiree) Bliss.

Services are 10:30 am Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery.
