Carol Overton, 80, of Mattydale passed away Thursday, January 13th. Carol lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the same time as her husband and shortly thereafter they surrendered their lives for service to the Lord.

Carol was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the Pastor's wife serving at Temple Baptist Church from January of 1979 through 2011. She worked in their Christian School as a teacher and administrator, well- known to the kids as "Mrs. O.". After her husband's retirement, she continued to serve the Lord in various capacities.

Carol is pre-deceased by her husband Aaron R. Overton Sr. She is survived by her 5 children, Aaron (Mary) Overton Jr., Wendy (David) Ratliff, William Overton, Karen (Dan) Liscum, Kevin Overton, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 10-11AM, Friday January 21, at Buckley Road Baptist Church 4962 Buckley Road, Liverpool NY 13088 with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM, with a reception immediately following.
