Betty M. (Lewis) Scalzo, 83, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Iroquois Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Scranton, PA and worked for G.E. and Syroco for many years before retiring. Betty was known for the "Best" potato salad. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Basil Scalzo in 1984 and her granddaughter Meghan in 1986.

Survivors: her daughter, Peggy McNeil of Baldwinsville; her son, Girard (Sandy) Scalzo of Liverpool; her sister, Ruth Austin of Cicero; grandchildren, Todd (Sara) McNeil, Ryan McNeil, Nicole (Stephen) Hoover, Sean Scalzo, Kaitlyn McNeil and Eric Scalzo; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00am Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer, Baldwinsville.
