Barbara Phillips Pittenger, 83, of Conifer Drive, Baldwinsville, died Thursday, November 28, 2002. Born in Lancaster, N.H., she lived most of her life in the Cato-Baldwinsville area. She graduated from Green Mountain College and the State University College at Oswego. She also attended Syracuse University. She was an elementary school teacher with the Cato-Meridian Central School District. Her husband, Howard E., died in 1973.

Survivors: Three sons, Phillips L. of Pennellville, James W. of Liverpool and Mark H. of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services: None. Spring burial, Union Hill Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at Fosters of Liverpool, 105 First St., Liverpool. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements.
