Barbara J. (Ward) Pfeffer, 70, of Syracuse passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Crouse Hospital. She was a health aid for Syracuse Developmental Center before retiring in 2010. She also was a beautician for more than 30 years for various salons in the area. Barbara was involved is stock car racing and truly loved traveling, gardening and her award winning roses. She loved her family and her special dog Buttons. Barbara was predeceased by an infant son and her brother David Ward.

Survivors: her husband of 54 years, Frederick O. Pfeffer of Baldwinsville; daughter, Gigi Castagnola of PA.; two sons David (Ruth) Pfeffer of Baldwinsville and Scot Pfeffer of Liverpool; her sister Diane Brown of Syracuse; grandchildren, Ashley, David, Casey, Theresa, Mindy and Maria and great grandchildren Jolie, Jaxson and Ashton; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Services: Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville with services immediately following at 7:00pm at the Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville.
