Ava J. Wood, 14 and a lifelong resident of Baldwinsville, passed on to her eternal home on January 20, 2023. Born with a competitive spirit and a love for life, Ava was well known for the strong relationships she had with family and friends. She attended Durgee Jr. High where she was a honors student and a very active participant in school sports, especially soccer where she recently received the coaches award for her performance in the JV season.

Surviving to cherish Ava's memory is her mother, Heather Wood; maternal grandparents, Geoffrey Jones, and Naomi Bosell; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Wood; aunts and uncles, Anya Beauchat, Nicholas Jones, Laura Jones, and Jordan Wood; DJ Liggins with whom Ava shared a sibling like bond, as well as many other cousins and close friends.

Calling hours will be held from 5-9 pm, Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Word of Life Assembly of God, 12 E. Oneida Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Saturday at Word of Life Assembly of God.
