Annette E. Grabowski, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday.  Nettie was born and raised in Baldwinsville on the Seneca River and remained there all her life.

She worked at the Syracuse Developmental Center, after raising her children, until her retirement.  Nettie was a volunteer for several organizations in the area and loved being with family and friends.  Thank you to all who cared for and helped her.

Nettie was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Chester in 2014.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Butera of Baldwinsville; and son Mark Grabowski of Henderson;  brother and sister-in-law,; and two sisters; grandchildren, Nathan Butera, Courtney (Jennifer) Butera, Judith, Rebecca, and Sara Grabowski; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Butera; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 24, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Seneca River Fire Department, 3457 Hayes Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.

In honor of Nettie Grabowski, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7, from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Liverpool Elks Lodge, 3730 Cold Springs Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
