Obituary

ANNE CLAUDETTE DAVIS, 77, of Baldwinsville NY, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, at Upstate Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1949, in Jamesville. Anne was predesceased by her parents, Earl and Yvette Bogan.

Anne was the beloved wife of Donald Davis, with whom she shared nearly 54 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, laughter, and devotion to one another.

Forty years ago, Anne and Don adopted their daughters, Kimberly James and Tracy Davis. They gave their daughters more than a home-they gave them a lifetime filled with love, family, opportunity, laughter, and cherished memories. Anne never made them feel like anything other than her daughters, and they will be forever grateful for the love and life she gave them.

Anne was a devoted grandmother to Kenzie, Alyssa and Maddy, who meant the world to her. She treasured watching them grow and being part of their lives. Anne was so proud of each of them.

Anne was a brave and courageous woman who faced many health challenges throughout her life. She battled breast cancer twice and proudly celebrated 17 years as a heart transplant survivor. For eight years, Anne also courageously lived with kidney failure. She also faced the devestating effects of a motor neuron disease that gradually took away her ability to walk. Even as her physical abilities changed, Anne remained a fighter, facing life with determination and an unmistakably feisty spirit.

Anne worked for Onondaga County for various Departments for several years before enjoying an early retirement. She was proud of her work and commitment to serving her community.

While Anne accomplished much throughout her life, her greatest joy was her family. She treasured annual girls' trips, family trips to Old Forge, and the countless everyday moments spent together. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, good food, and the people she loved.

In addition to her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, Jonathan James and Bryan Donahue, and granddaughters, Anne is survived by her loving sister, Debbie Bogan, cousin's Valarie Powlina (David Powlina), Mary Montgomery and Corby Baldwin, as well as extended family, and many dear friends.

There will be no traditional calling hours or public funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Anne will be remembered for her courage, feisty spirit, generous heart, warmth, and fierce love for her family. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on through everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

We love you and will miss you every single day. Your love, laughter, and memories will live on through all of us. Until we meet again.

In honor of Anne's memory, donations may be made to Harbor House of Rochester, NY, or Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.
