Andrew Leo Basilone, 49, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Feb. 12, 2017. Andy is remembered as charming and gregarious with an infectious smile. He was naturally athletic and a scratch golfer. He competed in the Herald and Post-Standard Amateur golf tournaments and found his passion teaching others to love the game by working as a golf pro at courses around Syracuse and in Florida. Andy is survived by his parents, Richard and Anne, whom he loved very much, and his siblings, Paul, of Rochester; Anne Dunn and her husband William, of Alexandria, VA; Dana, of Boston, MA; and Michael and his wife Youdora, of Cazenovia. Friends and family best remember Andy in his many wry moments when he would apply Chief Brody's outlook from the movie Jaws: "We're gonna need a bigger boat."
