Alice McCarthy Pickard, 75, of Baldwinsville, died Sunday, September 21, 2003 at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Bakerton, PA, and lived in Baldwinsville most of her life. She was employed as a Sales Clerk for 6 years at Ames in Baldwinsville and was a beautician for 25 years in both Ithaca and Syracuse. She managed the Richard Detoto Salon in Hotel Syracuse for 15 years and was a founding member and officer of the Baldwinsville Booster Club. She was an original member of the Baldwinsville Wrestling Club and also served for 10 years as a Den Mother for Pack 103 in Baldwinsville. Alice was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Frederick C. Pickard; three daughters, Shiela Hayes of Mattydale, Ann O'bot of Atlanta, GA and Elizabeth Pickard of Baldwinsville; four sons, Frederick Pickard, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, Thomas Pickard of Ankey, IA, John Pickard of Baldwinsville and, James Pickard of Goshen, IN; one brother; Thomas McCarthy of Horseheads, NY; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00am Thursday, September 25, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
