Alfred F. Colasanti, 91, of Baldwinsville, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, at Crown Nursing Home in Cortland, NY. He was born and raised on the north side of Syracuse. He was a graduate of North High School. He attended Syracuse University College. He was an Air Force veteran serving with the 5th Air Force in Japan and received the Occupation of Japan and National Defense medals. He retired in 1991 from General Electric after 41 years of service. In his retirement he worked part-time as a courier for several companies in Syracuse. He was a former member of Moose Lodge 625. He was a long time member of Baldwinsville Community Wesleyan Church. Alfred's greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing his love for SU sports and Yankee baseball with them. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife and visiting his friends in Florida.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Mulholland) of 69 years, two daughters, Lorraine Hruby (Jason) of Baldwinsville, NY, and Erin Girard (Jeff) of Cortland, NY, five grandchildren; Chelsea Jones (Justin) of Baldwinsville, Beau Girard, Heather Girard of Cortland, Cory Girard of Ohio, and Aaron Caruso of Baldwinsville; four great-grandchildren; Summer Austin, Justin Jones Jr, Trinity Jones, and Elijah Jones; two brothers; Daniel Colasanti (Gemma) of Liverpool, and David Colasanti (Reba) of Syracuse, sister-in-law, JoAnn Colasanti, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by: His parents, John and Antoinette Colasanti, four brothers and four sisters.
Calling hours are 4-7 pm Wednesday, January 29 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. Services are 11 am Thursday, January 30 at the Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville.
