Healy
June 5, 1935 – July 14, 2002
Edward J. Healy Jr., 67, of Coachman's Whip, Baldwinsville, died Sunday. Born in Philadelphia, he had also lived in Hartford, Conn., Boston and Bloomsburg, Pa., before moving to the Syracuse area several years ago. He graduated from LaSalle University and University of Pennsylvania. He retired in 1991 as chief executive officer of First Columbia Bank & Trust Co. in Bloomsburg, Pa. He also had been president of Middleborough Trust Co. in Massachusetts and Guaranty Bank & Trust in Hartford. He was a member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club in Middleborough. He was an Army veteran. His wife, the former Helen Surrick, died in 1999.
Survivors: A daughter, Elizabeth S. Healy of Bloomsburg; two sons, Edward J. III of Baldwinsville and Christopher R. of Bozeman, Mont.; a sister, Elizabeth H. Muller of Savannah, Ga.; a brother, John B. of Blawenburg, N.J.; a grandson.
Services: 5 p.m. Friday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. No calling hours.
