James “Dutch” Frances Hennessy, Jr., 78, of Port Richey, FL, died Monday, October 9, 2006, at Heather Hill Nursing Home, New Port Richey, FL. He was born in Syracuse and moved to Florida from Baldwinsville in 1994. He was retired from the City of Syracuse Department of Public Works, with 29 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict stationed in Germany. He was Post Commander and member of the VFW, Salt City Post, Syracuse. He was also a former member of the Jasmine Lakes Civic Association and Jasmine Lakes Security Patrol, Port Richey, FL.

Survivors: his wife Dolores M. of Port Richey, FL; two daughters, Barbara Martin and Therese Hennessy both of Syracuse; two sisters, Rita Connors and Marilyn Pelin both of Syracuse; stepson, Richard M. Jones of Auburn; step daughters, Mary E. Jones of Auburn and Dawn Allen of Baldwinsville and Debra A. Bovay of Port Richey, FL; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services: A memorial service will be held November 25, 2006 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb Street, Syracuse, NY 13209.

Jim, I'm so sorry it took me so long to post a message to your site. I didn't realize you still had your story up on this site. Anyways, Thank You for being a good StepFather, and for always trying to "deal" with our "tempremental" family. I know and realize we all had our faults, but you still tried nevertheless.
