Bessie "Betty" Basile, 75, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday evening with her family by her side. She was born in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville most of her life. She owned and operated two restaurants for over 10 years and was employed with Fay’s Drugs and Victory Market in Baldwinsville for several years before retiring in 1976. Betty was a tremendous wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Susan Fritzen and two grandsons, Michael and Daniel Fritzen in 1983, a sister, Shirley Zackowski and a brother, Robert Bardo.
Survivors: her husband of 36 years, Kenneth G. Basile; a daughter, Sharon E. Neth of Baldwinsville; a sister Kate Campbell of Tampa, FL; four brothers, John Bardo of Baldwinsville, Albert Bardo of Nashville, TN, Charles Bardo of Jordan and John Ferguson of Memphis; a grand daughter, Melissa Buschle and her fiancé Robert Stacy of Fulton; 2 great grand children, Gabrielle and Isabella Stacy; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00am Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Ira Union Cemetery, Ira. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday, January 11, 2007 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
