Phyllis, Matt and Mark,

Please accept our deepest heartfelt sympathy and condolences on George's passing. We remember with great fondness how you took us "under your wings" at the Division III National Championship game at Maryland and the sincere friendship and welcome we felt. May God's peace and blessings be upon you all and comfort you in this time of huge loss. There is a huge hole in the fabric of our lives now, but his memory will live on in our hearts. If there's anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call.

I saw George at work almost daily. He was a kind and gentle person. He spoke often about his children and grandchildren with wonderful pride and love. I will always remember him and his great smile!

I know that he is in a better place and we will all see him again one day.

To the Straub Family. I met George at Bristol and came to look forward to his happy disposition and entertaining conversations. He was always boasting about his family and his adorable grandchildren. I was saddened and surprised to hear of his passing. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss and hope you find some peace in how much everyone loved him.

My sympathy goes out to the entire Staub family. I worked with George at Allied Chemical and got to know him even better at various sporting events at the dome. My son "Charlie" and myself always looked forward to our "post game dicussion" with George. We are really going to miss George, and are very sad to hear of his passing.

We were so very sorry to read about George in the Syracuse obituaries. We lost track of you and your family many years ago, but we will never forget the "Bulldog" years in Pop Warner. George was a wonderful father and a truly good man. His way with words writing the articles about the Bulldogs will never be forgotten, and live on forever in our scrapbooks! His greatest legacy is the love and friendship he leaves behind -- our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this most difficult time. God bless you.

You would not believe the number of people at Bristol-Myers Squibb (Bldg. 32) that have expressed a loss at George's passing. He was such a gentleman, and he got to know many of the people here. He spoke of his family often and his love for SU Lacrosse. My husband and I ran into him at the Dome many times, and he would always stop by my desk to share his frustration with the Orange's wins and losses. He will be sorely missed.

To the Straubs,
Please accept my deepest and most sincere sympathy on the passing of George.
I haven't seen him in years, but whenever I recall the days of Bees' boys basketball, he always comes to mind.
I emailed the obituary to Jamie (he lives in Atlanta) this morning, and I know I speak for him as well.
